Eric Yahav, like most doctors, fought hard for his residency of choice. Doctors fresh out of medical school usually have to complete at least a year as a general physician in their residency before they can specialize in any medical field. Residency lengths vary depending on medical specialty, Eric Yahav completed his in four years, becoming Chief Resident for his final year when he was learning about the OBGYN specialty. Residencies are more than an extension of medical school, however. During his residency, Dr. Yahav learned how to be an OBGYN specialist with hands-on experience. He worked with patients under the supervision of an experienced physician, learned firsthand how to diagnose common and uncommon diseases and conditions, and how to perform some procedures.

Eric Yahav is a trusted OBGYN specialist in his community. He backs up his medical work by donating time and money to several charities in the area.
