Obstetricians
like Eric Yahav work with pregnant women during their terms to ensure
that they and their babies are healthy. While many kinds of doctors can
deliver babies, only Obstetricians can help pregnant women avoid birth
defects and pregnancy and childbirth complications. Many pregnant women
visit regularly with Eric Yahav and other Obstetricians to ask questions
and find solutions to possible complications now or in the future. Most
Obstetricians are also Gynecologists as well, and they often go by
OBGYN specialists. To be an Obstetrician, doctors have to complete a
four-year residency with at least one year specializing in this medical
field.
